Volunteer Projects

Love Hope Strength Foundation, Social Media Management

Lauren volunteers her time to help provide a social media strategy and postings for the US side of Love Hope Strength. They have created a Get on the List campaign where they tour with nationally and world-wide recognized bands to enlist ticket holders as bone marrow donors. Being a bone marrow donor can save the life of someone affected by Blood Cancer. Their cause is close to her heart: three people in her life have been affected by Blood Cancer, and only one has survived.

Lauren volunteered with the Chicago American Marketing Association and supported the setup of the Conference as well as manning the Chicago AMA’s official twitter account during the Conference.

Lauren worked on a team of three to strategize and organize the social media plan for HATCH Pitch, a revolutionary pitch competition for disruptive technology startups that aim to make the world better. The pitch competition is held yearly at the SXSW Interactive competition in Austin, TX. In addition to volunteering her time to spread the word about Hatch Pitch, she also attended the SXSW Hatch Pitch Competition and live tweeted the happenings and results.
